For my final year collection explored the surroundings of the boat yard where I grew up. I was inspired by the scrap materials usually overlooked in the process of making and repairing narrowboats. The plastics, rope and net left scattered around the perimeter of the yard inspired the colours and materials. Colour and materials form a central role of this collection.

Photography is a important part of the project, cementing the concept, colours and materials used, allowing me to develop samples from this diverse and layered environment. I used puff binder, heat encapsulation, digital embroidery, clay, and laser cutting to create a variety of samples and CMF samples.

This is a BOLD and BRASH project. I pushed the concept to create a project which is unique and experimental.
