A CRAFTSPACE PROJECT:
insite : 2018
I was very excited to selected to be a part of Craftspace's annual festival held in Birmingham's Cathedral square. The insite festival which is held annually gives a space for artists, graduates and craftspeople to create work with the public.
Each day different artists, including me, created work with help from the public. This work which was inspired by our surroundings, was then displayed in the square for the week.
Inspired by the interlinked mix of buildings in the city I created an installation piece which connected different laser cut materials together with knots made by me and passers by. Conversations about the role of craft in individuals lives, was an insightful part of the day.
